About

Benchgrove reviews SEO software for people who have to pay for it themselves.

Who runs this

Benchgrove is run by Marko Tanaskovic. I’ve worked in SEO and built my own tools in the space — which means when I say a keyword database looks thin or a metric is doing something odd, it’s because I’ve had to build and debug that kind of thing myself.

There’s no team behind this, no content agency, and no AI writing the reviews. One person, buying tools and writing up what happened.

Why another review site

Search for any SEO tool and you’ll get pages written by people who never logged in. They’re assembled from the vendor’s own feature list, ranked by whoever pays the most commission, and every tool somehow scores nine out of ten.

That’s useless if you’re about to spend $600 a year. Benchgrove exists to be the page that tells you which tool is wrong for you, and why.

What you can expect

  • Tools bought with my own money and used on real projects before they’re scored
  • Published scoring criteria, applied the same way every time — see how we test
  • Criticism in every review, including tools I earn commission from
  • Prices checked and dated, so you know when a review went stale
  • Plain disclosure of how the site makes money

Get in touch

Corrections, questions, or a tool you’d like reviewed: hello@benchgrove.com.

If you’re a vendor and you think a review is unfair, send evidence rather than a complaint and I’ll happily re-test and update the page.
