Guides

Reviews tell you which tool to buy. Guides are for everything that comes after that — actually using it.

What’s planned

These are the guides being written first, in this order:

  • How to do keyword research without guessing — the full process, using whichever tool you already pay for
  • How to read keyword difficulty scores — why every tool gives you a different number, and which to trust
  • An SEO checklist for a new site — the things that actually matter in the first ninety days
  • How to rank in ChatGPT and AI Overviews — what “AI visibility” means in practice, and what you can control
  • How to audit a site you just inherited — the fastest route from “no idea” to a prioritised fix list

Why there’s nothing here yet

Because the reviews come first, and reviews take weeks — each tool gets bought and used on a real project before anything gets published about it. Writing guides about tools we hadn’t finished testing would be exactly the thing this site exists to avoid.

If there’s a guide you want, tell us and it moves up the list.

In the meantime, how we test explains the method behind everything published here.
